I’m Michelle Stephens, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addictions Counselor, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional based in Alpharetta, GA. With over 15 years of clinical experience, I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, families, and couples across Georgia and Colorado.

I use an eclectic approach because no two people are the same. As your therapist, I’m a facilitator of change but you are the one driving it. I believe healing happens best in an environment built on three things: genuineness (openness and honesty), acceptance (being seen without judgment), and empathy (being truly heard and understood).

Change is most authentic and lasting when it comes from within.

Background and Experience

I’m a Florida native who returned to Georgia for college, earning my BA from Oglethorpe University. After completing my graduate work in Counseling, I spent time in Colorado working as a behavioral health advocate in a medical clinic. That experience shaped my passion for treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms.
